These Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe is based on the original recipe. The original version is fried, but this one is baked. I prefer the "baked" version.
Ingredients:
36 good size chicken wings (frozen or fresh)
1 bottle Hot Louisiana sauce
1 stick unsalted butter
1 T garlic powder (more, if desired)
Procedure:
- Preheat the oven at 375F for 10 minutes.
- Arrange the wings on baking pans.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt 1 stick of butter.
- Stir in 1 bottle of hot sauce.
- Bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium low. Add 1T powdered garlic. Turn off the heat.
- After 45 minutes, take the chicken wings out of the oven.
- Turn off the oven.
- Turn on the oven to broil.
- Drain the liquid from the baking pans.
- Dip the wings in the sauce pan with hot garlic sauce. Reserve left over sauce for dipping later.
- Arrange in baking pans. Return the baking pans in the oven set to broil.
- Broil 5 to 7 minutes per side.
- Transfer to serving plate.
- Serve with salad greens with tomatoes, cucumber & onions with your favorite dressing.
